Do you know how to survive and thrive in an economic collapse? The US, and the world, have gone through economic recessions and depressions quite often throughout history.
There was a copper panic in 1789.
A boom of war-time activity led to a decline after the Peace of Amiens ended the war between the United Kingdom and France from 1802-1804.
There was a recession before the American Civil War which began April 12, 1861.
Economic problems in Europe prompted the failure of Jay Cooke & Company, the largest bank in the United States, which burst the post-Civil War bubble in 1873.
There was a post world war recession from 1918-1919.
The great depression was a world-wide depression that lasted from 1929-1933.
Many recessions happened between 1933 and the great depression of 2007 that lasted until 2009.
Now, in 2020, we’re entering an economic crisis that could become a depression, but will certainly be a recession.
The point is, an economic crisis could happen at any time, for any reason. We can learn a lot about how an economic crisis was handled by individuals and what/who really thrived during times of uncertainty.
The more knowledge we have now, the more resourceful we can become during the tough times.
