What is a MAG?

‘MAG’ stands for ‘Mutual Assistance Group’.
Why would anyone want to join a MAG?
Many preppers want to join a MAG because it would be an organization of people who are training towards the same goal; to be prepared. Many MAGs will have specialized, regular training.
Be sure to understand the rules of the MAG before joining. Every MAG is different and will have their own policies for ‘members’.
How to find a MAG?
This is the tricky part. In general, most MAGs won’t have a webpage, they’re usually by invite only. So how do you find a MAG?
You could ask in prepper forums or discord chats. Ask at your local church. Make your own with your friends and family. Go to a prepper meetup in your area and ask around. Again, it’s usually by word-of-mouth and they usually have to be comfortable with the person before asking them to join.
Do you need to join a MAG?
No, it’s absolutely not a requirement. Joining a MAG would simply allow you to have consistent group training and consistent, trusted people to rely on. A MAG can be formed in many different ways, such as with friends and family.
