Will the dollar bill still be valuable in an SHTF situation?

In a short term crisis situation, money will be valuable. However, in a long term, the dollar bill would be useless. Even in short term, the type of currency would change into barter and trade system.

It’s been seen time and time again in economic collapses and recessions across the globe where money wasn’t a priority, but instead the community decided to trade and barter. Skills, time and item can be bartered and traded for other skills, time and items.

Bartering and trading were around long before any currency appeared. But even when there was currency, there was still plenty of trading and bartering among the impoverished people.
