When it comes to preparedness, sometimes we focus so much on preparing for big emergencies and natural disasters, that we forget about preparing for everyday life.

This is especially important if you have a family. Being prepared for the ‘little’ things that happen everyday, especially when you’re away from home, will make everyday life go a lot smoother.

For instance, you’re out and about with your kids, one of them falls and cuts their knee. Which sounds better:

Option 1: Run around looking for help from someone else.

Option 2: Pulling out your first aid kit and helping your child.

Option 2 not only sounds quicker and easier, but you’re also a lot more self-sufficient.

One of the goals of preparedness is to be as self-reliant as possible, right? To not have to rely on others so much. So it just makes sense that we would want to be prepared for our everyday life, as well.

To take control of our finances.

To take control of our overall well-being.

To take control of our life.

Little changes in our everyday lives will make you feel more confident, more secure and ultimately, more prepared!
