Our mindset can make or break us, especially during a stressful situation.

Are there ways to train our mind during everyday life so that we can be better prepared to deal with stress in an emergency or disaster? Absolutely!

We deal with stressors every single day that will impact how we act and react to situations. So when we deal with those stressors we need to be conscious that this particular thing is stressing me out. Once we’re conscious of it, we can move forward to learning how to deal with it.

  • Deep breathing (aka, tactical breathing)
  • Mindfulness
  • Medication
  • Remaining calm

Plus much more. It’s up to us to train our minds NOW so we can improve as individuals and be able to appropriately tackle stressful situations.
