Preppers especially absolutely love fire. There’s good reason for it, too. Fire provides people with security, warmth, ability to cook and boil water and so much more.

Fire good!

Seriously, though, in this day and age we have the ability to create fire in the matter of minutes thanks to the combination of fuel options.

And lighters really made our lives easier, didn’t they? Making fire with fire!

But lighters won’t always work in certain conditions. Ferro rods are usually always reliable (I say ‘usually always because it greatly depends on the type of ferro rod that you have) and they’re extremely easy to use.
